✩ Hail and well met! âœ©

Hello! My name is Kit Micillo, and I am a 24 year old cartoonist, writer, and comics artist!

I'm super passionate about autobiographical comics, minicomics, character design, fiction writing,

and editorial work.

I graduated from scad with a BFA in sequential art

in 2020 and am currently living in florida as I explore career options in editorial work of all kinds, teaching,

and making self-published minicomics.

creating is my passion, and I aspire to spend my life both creating things myself and being someone to help others as they create and work to reach their full potential!

F A Q

WHAT MATERIALS

DO YOU USE?

For traditional work, I love to experiment with different materials, but when making finished products, I tend toward Sakura Micron, faber-castell, and koh-i-noor rapidograph pens, especailly for lettering.

I primarily draw on 20-32lb paper or bristol paper.

For digital work, I currently primarily use my ipad 7th gen and procreate for colouring and sketching.

WHEN DID YOU

START DRAWING?

I started taking drawing seriously in 2013 when I decided to really learn how to draw and committed myself to making myself the very best I can be. However like most of us who are passionate about drawing, I've always enjoyed drawing for fun since I was a little kid.

I love comparing my work now versus one/two/etc years ago to keep myself inspired and keep raising my standards!

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

I'm inspired by everything around me, even though that sounds cliche, but what inspires me the most is myself. I know how far I've come and how hard I've worked to achieve what I have, and I know how much more I can achieve by staying positive and continuing to push myself to reach even higher.

Rick Riordan, and gabriel picolo are my biggest professional inspirations, but my friends are by far the people I look up to the most.
